THE BIG BASKING JUNGLE GYM. This picture shows Mopar the iguana outside in the Big Jungle Gym that Mark built from the plans in Georgia. Mark did a great job, right down to making the bamboo-covered hanging shelves and covering the entire cage in green plastic mesh. It looks great and didn't cost a fortune to build. It's easy to see how Mopar feels about it! March, 2003 Mark writes: "She got to use it for the first time outside today. She was very happy!". Mopar has an interesting story... She stowed away in a vehicle wheelwell bound North for Georgia. She spent the next two years living at the Chrysler dealership where she landed (hence the name 'Mopar'). After she got too big for the dealership, Mark adopted her, gave her a good home and even her own website! It doesn't look like Mopar's complaining! Questions? Read the FAQs or email me. "Hey Keith, How heavy would the Big Jungle Gym be if I covered it with mesh? I'll plan to keep it outside and move it around." Mark Answer: If you unhook the shelves first and lift them out, it's a very light structure. In fact, you might even want to use some hooks or tent stakes to help keep it in place outdoors. |
