THE SHELVES. On this set of shelves, I left the top link open on each shelf, to add or remove each shelf easily. Building shelves like these is pretty straight-forward: I make the pvc frames, cover them with foam pipe wrap, cover them with bamboo screen material, secure it all with cable ties, and connect them all with chain. Adding a floor isn't too hard either: choose some plastic mesh your iguana will like, cut it to size, attach it to the pvc frame and then cover it all. I use pliers to pull the cable-ties tight and clippers to make a nice clean cut. The nice thing about using this type of black chain is that it's easy to level the shelves and get them just the way you want them. You can always adjust them as you see fit by just bending open a link or two and adding or subtracting more chain. I love making these shelves. Maybe I should just be in the cage accessory business... I was so happy to get this shelf order, after struggling through my last few cage orders, that I threw in a rectangular Basking Shelf for free, made to match the stack of corner shelves and the size of their cage. I'm hoping that Aaron and Rachel will put a heat pad in a towel on this Basking Shelf. Their iguana will love it. If you want me to make you a set of five of these shelves, with a mesh floor on the top shelf, and include a few extra open links to hang them from... just give me a week to get them built, boxed and shipped... and send me a total of $130 (via paypal or check) to cover everything, shipping included. Oh, and let me know if you'd like a free Basking Shelf, too. It would make your iguana very happy. Questions? Read the FAQs or email me. Click here to order these shelves! Copyright
