THE SHELVES. I made a set of custom climbing poles for a customer in Maryland who liked the original Z shape of the shelves that I used to ship with my cages. Well, that old Z design had several problems: First: They were single poles instead of doubled-up poles, and they had to be installed on the cage frame before the panels went on - because the poles had oversized T connectors that slipped on over the poles of the frame, and... Second: They only fit in the cage in a certain way, meaning that they only fit in the Big Jungle Gym... In other words, they sucked. No, wait, that's not really true. They just had limitations. So, to solve those limitations... First: I doubled-up the poles, which is good for the wide stance of many big iguanas, especially when they're cold in the morning and moving slowly up to the Basking Hammock. A side benefit of the space between the poles has to do with pooping while climbing and keeping the poles clean... 'nuff said. Second: I used the clever hinged design of the door to make each level of the Z shelf totally adjustable. It moves right or left... up or down... whichever way you want, so you can put these doubled-up poles exactly where you want them. Check out the hinge design that holds these climbing poles together, I just drilled holes in the pvc T connectors, put a split connector inside, and bolted them together with washers and doubled-up nuts. If you want a set of these hinged, doubled-up, bamboo-wrapped, Z shaped climbing poles, just send me a check for $90, or paypal me, and I'll get 'em done. Pronto. I'll even throw in a few extra long black cable ties to make the installation easier. Consider this: if you go out tomorrow and buy the bamboo and pvc and foam wrap and cable-ties and bolts... and then spend two or three hours making them, you might just wonder if it wouldn't have been better to just let me build them for you... If you want me to include a full-sized Basking Hammock with chains to go along with your climbing poles, just send me $130 even. Fair enough? Click here to order these climbing poles! Questions?
